Awards Night

IT was Tics' pleasure to have GFA chairman Mark Le Tissier and his wife Helen as special guests at our first end of season presentation night at the Cobo Bay Hotel.
It proved to be a cracking evening enjoyed by around 50 members and friends.
Vijay Wiltshire won both the player of the year and players player awards after a fantastic season for the former Guernsey under-21 player, but there were a number of other spoof  awards made as a result of detailed investigations by our club captain Miles Pengelley.
The awards were for a range of things ranging from best and worst dancer, worst trainer, least intelligent etc... it was all good fun and taken in the spirit of the occasion.
Well done to Milly, Gus and Blowers for the hard work they did in putting the evening together.

Gus put together a spot the ball competition for guests to take their minds off things like drinking and eating and received a special presentation from Blowers for his efforts. Danny Marquand wins the literary prize
and the ever-popular Webby just sits back and watches it all unravel. Our kit man received a huge cheer when he received his own thankyou gift from the players.
Above, Tics' answer to  Morecambe and                                                                                                                                                                     Wise....

Below, Ben Duff ... voted our hardest player in 2009-10 and our central defender looked suitably muscly as he received his
prize.
