Paul Ramsden found himself on the left side of midfield in the win over Rovers at Port Soif, but as usual he turned in a good display to underline his versatility.

FULL STRENGTH SQUAD

APART from long-term absentee Ciaran Flanagan it is the squad that travels to St Peter’s searching for a fifth league win of the season.
Ben Duff, who is playing his best football for years, returns after missing the Rovers game with illness, while Damien Le Tocq is also back in contention.
Away from the playing side and, touch wood, the monsoon season appears to be over and KGV is now fit again to play on.
The only trouble is we don’t have a home game there until Saturday week when we entertain the title favourites, Bels.
Reports suggest that the KGV surface  is in immaculate condition now that the floods have evaporated and with all the autumn leaves also gone, it will be nice to think that we may have the best playing surface for the closing months of the campaign.

SQUAD FOR VALE REC GAME

ONLY long-term absentee Gus Mackay, the work-tied Ciaran Flanagan and  James Mullen are ruled out for tomorow night's Clydesdale Unternational FA Cup game at the Corbet Field.
Mullen's back problems will mean he misses the Christmas programme while the great news on Gus  is that he will DEFINITELY be fit and available early in January.
Squad:
Tom Creed, Lee Savident, Miles Pengelley, James Ashplant,  Ben Duff, Luke Graham, Vijay Wiltshire (capt.), Etienne Le Prevost, Aaron Gallie, Damien Le Tocq, Craig Farnham, Sam Le Huray, Danny Marquand, Jacques Ogier, Tom Jenkins and Paul Ramsden.

SUNDAY’S first round Clydesdale International FA Cup tie with Vale Rec will likely to be played at Victoria Avenue – if anywhere.
As for squad news the boss has named 18 players, which is the maximum permitted number: 11 starters and 7 subs.
Danny Marquand, who is away in the UK, is the only notable asbenteem along with Ricky Moore.

Unfortunately, Ricky Moore is not yet fit enough to return.

Club captain Miles thrilled by appointment and Tics professionalism

MIles Pengelley (seen right welcoming new signing Luke Graham at training at Les Beaucamps this week) has been named as the modern Tics first club captain and the 19-year-old says he is greatly honoured.
‘I’m delighted, really pleased. I thought I’d might be one of those in the running,’ he said on the day he welcomed Luke Graham to the club from his native Merseyside.
Miles is no stranger to captaincy having skippered Guernsey at Star Trophy, under-16 and under-18 level.
The former Northerner and Sylvan (just for one year) is relishing pre-season and working under the Tics coaching team of Steve Ogier, Kevin Graham and Steve Ingrouille, who are backed up by the medical and fitness expertise of Mike Thomas, Blake Smith and Ian Potter.
‘It’s going really well and there’s been a good attitude from the lads.
‘Overall, it’s great that everybody has been so committed and wanting to improve themselves.
‘It’s the most professional system I’ve seen locally.
‘It has impressed me a lot and it was this that was the selling point to me getting involved with the club.’
Meanwhile, Luke Graham has been quick to impress our new club captain.
The former Ashton player is tall, strong and has a lovely left foot.
He rates midfield as his best position, but can play central defence or at left back.
More on Luke to come in the near future.
